Dear Editor:
I encourage everyone voting in this election to join me in casting a vote for Rae Waters for the Arizona House of Representatives.
Democrat or Republican, Independent or Green, I think everyone can agree that our highest priority should be making sure we have the strongest schools we can and that our children are given the best education possible to prepare them for a bright future.
Rae Waters has walked the walk on education. A 12-year school board member for the Kyrene School District and a member of the House Education Committee, Waters has the knowledge, experience and bi-partisan spirit to keep improving Arizona's schools.
In tough economic times, all institutions, including schools, need to do the best they can with what they've got. Kyrene has weathered the recession beautifully, and Waters is a big part of why it could do that.
We need more like her in the Arizona Legislature, but we can only send one. For our schools, let's make sure we do that.
