Dear Editor:
In response to Joe Campbell's letter ("I'm an American," AFN, Sept. 1), President Obama has continued the wars, hasn't closed Gitmo, has received more money from corporations during his campaign than any other candidate in the history of America. He hasn't stopped the outsourcing of American jobs, still has tax-free bank accounts for the rich, and hasn't raised taxes for only the rich. Yet, he has added to the astronomical war debt with more programs and has not only continued the same non-regulated spending policies, but also added to the unemployment rates in our country.
I, too, am an American sir and I disagree with your notion that the president is both a conservative and not an American.
