Dear Editor:
On Jan. 1 I left my wallet at the air pump at the Circle K on Chandler Boulevard and 40th Street. It had my Christmas money in it, as well as irreplaceable pictures of my family members and other small mementoes. I was very disappointed when I called Circle K to see if anyone had turned it in and they hadn't.
But, this morning I was napping on my couch when the doorbell rang and it was the postman. Some very kind and generous individual had dropped my wallet into a mailbox and the post office was delivering it to me. I am so grateful that we live in a community where there are people who go out of their way to help a stranger and do so anonymously.
I think this kind of story is a bit inspiring, especially after the Christmas season that just passed, we all have a shared responsibility as neighbors to help each other and I am so glad that someone helped me out. If you are the person who turned in my wallet, I am so thankful for the deed you preformed. I am so appreciative of your kindness. Thank you so much.
Taylor Dennis
