Recently the Pima County GOP chair was quoted as saying about Arizona, “The real problem is low economic growth caused by federal regulatory policies, including the onerous Obamacare employer mandates looming over employers.”

In actual fact, according to Pima County Democratic party chair, Dr. Don Jorgensen, just the opposite is true. Failed Republican policies have increased Arizona’s jobless rate to 7 percent in the month of July, while the federal rate is only 6.2 percent. The only thing that kept Arizona’s rate from looking worse is the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare.

Says Jorgensen, “Thanks to the ACA the health care industry added 1,500 new jobs in the last month alone, and more than 10,000 in the past 12 months. What HAS become lower is the number of uninsured Arizonans and the average premium rate increases for small business.

Jorgensen is in a good position to know. He’s a doctor.

Dr. Janie Hydrick

Candidate State Senate LD18
