Dear Editor:

EPA safeguards save lives. Updated smog standards could save 12,000 lives. A strong "Good Neighbor Rule" to reduce pollution straying over state lines could save 36,000 lives.

This summer, corporate polluters and their lobbyists succeeded in stalling Senate legislation on clean energy and climate. Now these same corporate polluters are working to block EPA efforts to protect public health through common sense safeguards against their deadly pollution.

Didn't we address these safeguards way back in the '70s?
