Dear stranger with the cancer awareness plate that read ‘Be Joyful,’

On Saturday, Jan. 25 you were in front of me in the Starbucks drive through line and bought my coffee for me.

The timing could not have been more perfect. Little did you know I had just come from picking up a rental car after my car was hit by a drunk driver.

Your license plate was a profound reminder for me, and your random act of kindness deeply moved me.

I am so thankful there are people in the world today who, like you, are willing to make a difference in the lives of those around them. You were the messenger from heaven on a day when I truly needed it. Thank you!
