I have never been tempted to write a letter like this before. However, in 17 years of mountain biking and the seven different shops I’ve frequented over the years, I have never encountered customer service like at Javelina Cycles. The first time they took great care of me, I thought it was a fluke. The second time impressed me, but it was not until many times later time that I realized that is just the way they do business.

Most recently, I stopped by just before closing to see if they had any ideas on a derailleur problem. Most shops would tell you that you could pick up the bike several days later, and then close their doors. Not Javelina, they stayed after closing to diagnose and then fix the problem. Then they dug up some used parts I could carry as spares in case it happened again. I was grateful to have my bike back for my ride the next day and would have happily paid extra for that, but at Javelina, they charged me less than half of what I would have expected to pay anywhere else. My next bike(s) will undoubtedly come with a Javelina sticker on them.
