In the last three weeks we’ve received four robocalls and one call from a live person, asking whom we’d vote for in the City Council race if the election were held today. These are not originating with the Karlene Keogh Parks campaign.

Yesterday I got a recorded call from Sal DiCiccio himself telling me to “press 1 if I may put a sign in your yard.” He apparently knows the address connected to my phone number.

Since March DiCiccio’s political signs have blighted Ahwatukee streets. This was considerably earlier than the City Code restrictions that says political signs may not go up more than 60 days before an election. When asked in a public forum in April how he could do this, DiCiccio replied, “They’re on private property.” The signs at 48th and Elliott and 48th and Warner definitely were not on private property. Repeated e-mails to DiCiccio’s office elicited no response.

DiCiccio has never commented on his opponent, Karlene Keogh Parks, choosing rather to focus on slamming Mayor Greg Stanton.

It is clear that DiCiccio is running for mayor, that he has no regard for either the law or the truth, and is frightened that all of us might find out and not vote for him.

News flash, Sal: We already know.
