If I hear, or read, one more time that our State Sen. John McComish is a “moderate” I will scream.

During his tenure in the Arizona State Legislature, McComish voted to cut KidsCare, leaving 105,000 kids on waiting lists for health care.

He voted to allow companies, not overseeing agencies, to do their own pollution testing of the air and food that we, and our children and grandchildren, breathe and eat. He voted to allow guns in public buildings. He voted to allow concealed weapons on college campuses.

He voted to destroy the resale value of your home by allowing electric billboards in your neighborhood. He sponsored HB 2800, denying cancer screenings to 65,000 women. He voted to cut over $2 billion from public K-12 and university education in a state that already ranked dead last in per-pupil funding.

Had enough?  Well there’s more. This is only the tip of the iceberg on McComish’s extremist voting record. He may talk like a moderate, but he certainly doesn’t vote like one.

Dr. Janie Hydrick deserves your vote for State Senator in Legislative District 18. She has lived in LD18 for 22 years and has dedicated her life to serving the community. In the late ’80s she was Tempe Woman of the Year, and for 45 years she has taught kids from kindergarten through the university level.
