All is well in Thunderville.

I stopped by practice Monday and everyone seemed upbeat after the 23-13 loss to Hamilton other than maybe two-way lineman Zack Tamburo, who will miss this week’s game against Mesquite with the high ankle sprain that kept him out of the final three quarters against the Huskies.

They realize it was just one game and they rebounded just fine from a similar defeat a year ago.

Desert Vista coach Dan Hinds was pretty hard on himself for a less than stellar performance.

“I take the blame and true leaders have to take it,” he said. “I am the coach here and I did not coach my best game. Our best game is still out there.”
