The Ahwatukee Little Leauge Majors kept it rolling Monday.

The ALL defeated Prescott Valley 10-2 in the first round of the North Sectional in Flagstaff.

The team advances to the second round of the seven-team, double elimination tournament and will play McCormick Ranch on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Continental Little League Complex.

The top two teams advance to the state tournament in Tucson with a bid to the Western Regional in San Bernardino, Calif., on the line.

The team has started calling themselves the Dawgs after the 2006 ALL team that made it to the Little League World Series.

In eight games so far the Dawgs have outscored opponents 116-41 in going 7-1 with 29 of those runs coming in two games against Chandler National North, the team they beat in the finals of the District 13 torunament.

Go Dawgs!!! 2006 was phenominal, 2008 was pretty darn good! Best wishes to the 2011 boys in their pursuit of the dream and keeping this small community PROUD!
