The Desert Vista boys volleyball team hasn't fared well against Brophy in two previous meetings.

The Thunder get another shot Tuesday at No. 6 Brophy in the Division I quarterfinals after winning two matches in Tucson over the weekend.

They knocked off No. 3 Sahuaro in four games as the 14th seed in what might have been their best and "most consistent match" of the season, which also included a win over Mountain Pointe in the first round.

Desert Vista has to rekindle that level of play it had over the weekend in order to push the Broncos.

"We need to play well to win," Thunder coach Ryan Tolman said. "They have a ton of kids that really hurt us. It could be fun. Hopefully, we show up."
