The fourth induction class for the Mountain Pointe Hall of Fame was released by the school.

The class inductees are athletes Kori Jacobson and Ryan McCally and coach Mark Lovett.

The ceremony is tentatively planned for Sept. 19 before the Pride's football game against Chandler.

Jacobson, a 1998 graduate who died at age 27, was a gifted student-athlete, lettering four years in badminton and softball, and three years in track.

She was a badminton singles champion in 1995 and '97 and earned All-City, All-Region, All-East Valley, and All-State honors in softball before heading to Georgia Tech on a softball scholarship.

Ryan McCally, a 1999 graduate, won a state title in swimming title in the 100 backstroke and earned a baseball scholarship to Stanford before being drafted in the 23rd round as a pitcher by Tampa Bay in 2003.

Mark Lovett was a PE teacher and football coach who died from a heart attack during a practice at the school at the age of 46.

He started at fullback for the undefeated 1975 Arizona State team that won the Fiesta Bowl to finish No. 2 nationally. He was co-captain and most valuable player for the 1976 Sun Devils.
