The Ahwatukee Little League just might get that elusive state title.

The Minors squad, aged 10 and 11, advanced to the Canyon del Oro state tournament finals after a big win on Monday.

ALL beat Arrowhead 12-6 in an elimination game to exact some revenge after Arrowhead gave the boys in teal their own lost this postseason earlier in the tournament.

The win advanced ALL to the championship game against CDO on Tuesday night at Kreigh Park in Oro Valley with the first pitched scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Since CDO has not lost in this tournament, ALL will have to win twice to get the state title. A win today would force a winner-takes-all game on Wednesday.

ALL is 12-1 in the postseason this year counting the District 13 action.
