Desert Vista boys cross country coach Chris Hanson is doing well after having a medical scare, he said via text message.

Hanson and his family were in Florida over fall break two weeks ago, but ended up going to see the doctor after not feeling quite right.

They found some blood clots in his lungs and it delayed his return.

He missed coaching the team last week at the Doug Conley Invitational and didn't travel with the team to California this weekend for the Mt. Sac meet.

The team's season begins to wrap up in the coming weeks as the state meet is Nov. 5.
