Simone Westbrook might be back playing at the Storm Center.

For Chandler.

Chandler athletic director Dave Shapiro confirmed that the former Desert Vista girls basketball player has resurfaced at Chandler High after deciding not to play for the Thunder this season.

The family recently moved from Maricopa to Chandler and apparently she will make her debut Tuesday when the Wolves play a visit to Desert Vista in Fiesta Region action.

Transfers have to be in school for 10 days before they become eligible to play athletics.

Westbrook, a junior guard, helped the team to a 18-9 record last season after averaging a team-high 16.5 points on 54 percent shooting (156 of 288). She added 3.9 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 3.8 steals.

The Thunder (8-9) moved on without her and played well early, but have dealt with injuries in recent weeks as they were  minus three rotation players against Hamilton on Tuesday.
