It had been some time for Thomas Warren, but he patiently waited for another shot.

And when the time came, the Mountain Pointe senior running back/fullback was more than prepared.

Warren had 12 carries for a career-high 140 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Desert Vista Friday night.

It was his fifth career 100-yard game and first since Sept. 16 of last season as his carries dwindled down the stretch once Dillan Johnson became the main running back and Garette Craig put on a show in the first two games this year.

“There was no frustration,” he said. “I played my part for the team.”
