The Ahwatukee Little League has a chance to go 3-for-3 in the District 13 Little League semifinals on Monday.
It is going to be tough to pull it off, but as long as there are outs remaining the possibility is there.
The 9- and 10-year-old team is the highest seed in the semifinals from the area as the team, which relies on speed and defense, went 4-1 in pool play to earn the second seed.
The semifinal opponent is No. 3 Tempe Guadalupe, which went 2-3 including a 14-0 four inning loss to ALL. The game is at 8 p.m. at Nozomi Park, formerly known as Chandler West Park, which is located at 250 S. Kyrene Road in Chandler.
Chandler American Little League earned the top seed at 5-0 and faces Chandler National South (2-3) with the first pitch at 6 p.m.
The championship game is Wednesday at Snediger at 8 p.m.
The ALL Majors squad, which is made up of 11 and 12 year olds, earned the third seed with a 3-2 record and plays No. 2 Chandler National North (4-1) at 8 p.m. at Snediger Sports Complex, which is located at 4705 S. Basha Road.
Chandler National won the first meeting 5-2.
The other semifinal is No. 1 Chandler National South (5-0) against Tempe South (2-3) at 6 p.m. at Snediger.
The title game is Wednesday at 7:30 at Snediger.
The ALL Minors teams, which is made up of 10 and 11 year olds, is also the third seed after a 3-2 pool play mark.
The semifinal matchup brings up a meeting with Chandler National South (4-1) at 8 p.m. at Snediger. Chandler National South won a nail-biter the first time, 10-9.
Chandler National North grabbed the top seed (5-0) while Chandler American (1-4) won a three-team tie breaker for the fourth seed. First pitch is at 6 p.m. at Snediger.
The finals are at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Snediger.
In the Junior Division (12-13), ALL went 1-2 with Tempe-Guadalupe winning it all with a 3-0 record including a 12-0 win over Chandler National in the finals.
