After I found out that Mountain Pointe kicker Kevin Kadisak broke the school record for field goals in a season, I pulled out the team's program to see what else has fallen or is in jeopardy.
And there are quite a few courtesy of the Kyle Faunce to Garrett Holle passing tandem.
Faunce, a junior quarterback, has school-records of 1,556 passing yards and 62.6 completion percentage and 15 touchdowns.
The touchdown total is tied with Doug Szanto (1993) while yards surpasses Chad Whittle's mark of 1,392 yards that was sent in 2003 and the completion percentage, assuming he doesn't dip below, shatters the previous mark of 54.3 set in 1998 by Sean Costanzo.
Holle, a senior wide receiver, has set the record for most receiving yards (824) and is close to two others.
The previous receiving yardage mark was 699 by Brian Hernandez in 2001.
Holle needs four catches to break Hernandez's mark of 49 catches in a season, also set in 2001, and he needs one more touchdown catch to tie Travis' Hardee's 2005 mark of 10.
Kadisak has the record for most field goals at 11 and is one off the career mark of 12 held by Brian Sellier. Kadisak bested Brian Sellier's season mark of nine in 1995.
Freshman Jalen Brown tied the record for most interceptions in a game (3) that is held by Mike Collins, set in 1994 against Corona del Sol.
