As a coach it is always nice to have the backing of your athletic director.

New Mountain Pointe boys basketball coach Hosea Graham has no worries there especially when it comes to his offense.

When Graham was winning 243 games at Seton Catholic, he used to scrimmage Higley during the summer quite a bit. During that time, the coach of the Knights was new Pride athletic director Brian Winter.

“I’ve known Brian for a long time and I look forward to working with him,” Graham said. “We coached against each other, and we’d scrimmage against each other in the summer. I took my main offense from Brian and I perfected it.

“He had a great system and I took it for myself and used it very successfully at the club level. A lot of people have asked about it and I gave them the basics, but it all started with Brian.”

Graham brings an up-tempo style and loves to get the ball up the court as fast as possible with the ball on the rim as quick as possible.
