Desert Vista graduate Patricia Bright played at three different colleges in her career, including the last two at Oregon State, but her travels might not be over.

She is ranked among the top 40 WNBA prospects, but recently told the Daily Barometer, a newspaper in Corvalis, Ore., that she might go overseas to continue playing.

“I feel like if I could travel the world and play basketball, it’s the best of both worlds,” Bright said. “If I go overseas, I have the chance to actually view a different culture and play basketball. It’s win-win. I’ll go anywhere I can play basketball and get a culture shock.”

Bright, who never started for the Thunder, averaged 6.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks.

It was a frustrating year as she dealt with a ankle injury and only started 11 of her 29 games.

It wasn't the season she expected after Bright was named a Pac-12 All-Defense and All-Pac-12 honorable mention by the coaches and media as junior after her 115 blocks ranked second in league history.
