Desert Vista swimming is being well represented at the college national championship level.
Here are some of the results heading into this weekend’s action.
Tinsley Andrews, a senior at Drury, tied for the 200 freestyle individual title (1:48.48) and was part of the 200 (1:40.45) and 800 free relay (7:20.08) winning teams to help Drury to the Division II national title.
Connor Dignan, a junior at Division III Denison, set the all-time DIII record in the 3-meter dive (645.70 in 11 dives) earlier this season and set the national championship meet record (613.90) on Wednesday night in the 3-meter.
Katie Olsen, a junior at Division I Stanford, was the anchor leg on the Cardinals national champion 200 freestyle relay team (1:26.23) and her leg in the breaststroke help Stanford set the new NCAA and the American record in the 400 medley relay (3:27.51) on Thursday night.
Those are some pretty impressive performances by the Thunder trio.
