Desert Vista coach Dan Hinds said this morning that senior offensive lineman J.J. Dielman will give his verbal commitment to Utah soon.

The Pac-12 school was the first to offer in the spring and the 6-foot-5, 260-pound offensive tackle took that to heart.

Dielman was the lone senior and unquestioned leader of the unit that rushed for 3,044 yards, the second most school history, on the way to the Division I state title.

He had offers from Fresno State, Northern Arizona, San Diego State, San Jose State and UNLV.
