We interrupt this ongoing football season to bring you some basketball news.
The Mountain Pointe boys teams will have a couple of new faces in the program this season.
Kenny Lacy, who started both ways on the football, gets his first year on the basketball team after sitting out all of last year after a transfer from Cesar Chavez.
The other is Jordan Bellamy, who is move-in transfer from North.
Bellamy was a point guard for North and averaged 11.6 points, 3.1 assists and 2.6 steals for a team that went 24-5.
He will mix in well with guards Marcus Ramirez, Khari Holloway and Jalen Brown to help absorb the loss of 10 seniors from last year's state quarterfinal team.
