Kennard excited to return to the Valley

Got a chance to catch up with Devon Kennard this week and he is confident as ever.

The Desert Vista graduate comes to town this week as USC plays at Arizona State. He didn't come out and guarantee a sack or a victory against the Sun Devils, but he was pretty confident the Trojans will be ready to play.

The junior defensive end said the team isn't concerned with not being able to play in the postseason because of NCAA sanctions.

"We don't worry about not being able to play in a bowl game because it doesn't matter right now," he said. "We took a lot of heat for a mediocre year (in 2010), but the team is look great this year. If we have another mediocre year then the bowl games doesn't matter.

"We are playing each game is like a bowl game because everyone is going to judge us on our regular season."
