It was pretty much status quo at the Tempe City track meet at Desert Vista on Wednesday as the Thunder swept both meets again.

The boys won for the eighth straight year and 10th overall in besting Mountain Pointe 147-139 with Corona del Sol next at 134. McClintock (49), Tempe (20) and Marcos de Niza (20) followed them.

The Desert Vista girls won outright for the sixth straight season and won or shared for the 12th straight year and 13th overall.

The girls won a little easier with 161 points with Corona next at 133.3. The Pride was the only other real contender at 124.33, while Tempe (46), Marcos (29.33) and McClintock (12) rounded out the standings.

Three records fell on the day as Mountain Pointe's Shaman Bailey had a long jump of 18-feet, and 2.25-inches to knock Desert Vista's Nikki Martin (18-02 in 2003) out of the record books.

Bailey was also part of the Pride's 4x100 relay team that clocked a 48.52 second time to better Corona's 2010 time of 49.06.

The Pride's group was led off by Kelsi Hale and followed by Shannon Jackson, Bailey and Kevina Godfrey.

The other mark to go down was the 4x400 relay as the Corona boys  contingent of Nick Creasman, Cody Jackson, Nate Rodriguez and Drake Ridge clocked a 3:21.21 to push McClintock's time of 3:22.04 to the wayside.
