Mountain Pointe slugger Joey Curletta is headed to Arizona to continue his baseball career.

After verbally committing to Central Arizona Community College, few believed he would end up there next fall.

He ended up picking Arizona over Vanderbilt as he wanted to stay close to home along with the fact that his brother, Justin, is a junior at Arizona.

Curletta had a breakout campaign as a junior when he hit .420 with 21 home runs and 57 RBI.
