As surprising as it may be, the debate over which local high school gets the most coverage is anything but new.

Here are today's letters to the editor, all with a central theme: high school sports.

Letter #1: "I can't donate because you rarely and inconsistently deliver to our house! Never get Wed's paper. I have called, but no improvement. At our house we call your paper the Desert Vista News because your high school coverage is way lopsided! Be fair from now on! For example, DV boys get 2nd place and Big headline with big picture -> 'DV Boys Disappointed.' MP girls win state and get smallerarticle and smaller picture. DV always hogs your coverage. We are sooooo tired of it!!" - Barbara Nelson

Letter #2: "Thank you for the local high school sports coverage. We have awesome young people in our community - glad you recognize them. I like the animal stories too! :)" - Susan Mullarkey

Letter #3: "More local business articles. More health/local health. Less high school/kid sports - only parents care." -author unknown

Thank you for the input! (and, Barbara, I hope we finally got your paper delivery fixed!)
