Believe in the sanctity of life because life is a precious gift from our Creator. All human life is sacred because our Creator has made it so, endowing each and every one of us with the unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Never stop giving thanks to God for giving you the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

And never stop thanking God for giving you the privilege of being an American.

Never apologize for being an American. Our country is the greatest country that has ever been. We are a city of shining light upon a hill, a proverbial beacon of hope for the rest of the world.

Be ever vigilant against those who, if but given the chance, would take away your God-given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Let the abject horror and carnage of 9/11 always remind you that there are those in the world who will stop at nothing in their attempt to destroy America.

Let 9/11 always remind you of the true heroes among us. Despite knowing the huge risks in ascending the burning World Trade Towers, the first responders valiantly did just this, with most sacrificing their lives in the process.

Never forget the sacrifices made by the fighting men and women of the U.S. armed forces. All give some, and some give their all in order to keep America safe in a very unsafe world.

Always give your all to life. There are no adverse situations, just adverse reactions to situations. No matter how difficult the circumstances, live life as if your glass were running over, not merely just half full. Make the best of things, even if things are far from your dreams.

Always believe in your dreams – even when nobody else but you believes in your dreams. Never give up on your dreams because sometimes your dreams are about all that you have.

Never forget that true success in life is relational. When you are on your deathbed, all the fame, fortune, power, etc. that you have amassed won’t matter; all that will matter is those whom you have loved and those who have loved you. At the end of the day, all the fame, fortune or power you have amassed will be nothing if you have not loved and have not been loved.

At the end of the day, remember that who you are determines what you do, and not the other way around.

You are of infinite worth because God created you in His image, not because you are a cosmic accident in a random universe bereft of ultimate meaning.

Remember that life is short. Live each day as if it were your last; make each day count. Each day is a gift from God.

Remember these things as you venture forth into the brave new world. May God bless you.
