Community performances scheduled at Higley Unified high schools

Higley Unified School District will host community performances at both of its high schools this week.

Williams Field High School will present “Honk!” on Feb. 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. and 2 p.m., as well as 7 p.m. on March 1. The musical retells the story of the Ugly Duckling, which includes inspiring songs and a story appropriate for all ages. Tickets can be purchased at the auditorium door and are $8 for adults and $5 for students.

Higley High School’s band and orchestra will perform on Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Higley Center for the Performing Arts. The concert is free to the public.

Color guard and drum line groups from across the Valley will compete in the Winter Guard Arizona Cooley Show on Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. The competition will be held at Williams Field High School. The entrance fee is $7 for adults, $5 for students and children under five are free.

Bands from Williams Field High School, Cooley Middle School and Higley Traditional Academy will perform at Williams Field High School on March 6. Carrabba’s Italian Grill will cater the event and meal tickets are available for $15.
