Ahwatukee Children's Theatre is offering a one-day camp/workshop from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, which will allow children to explore every area of the performing arts. Children in grades first through eighth will have the opportunity to take workshops in show choir, musical theater, straight acting, improv, dance and more. There will be a small performance at 6 p.m. at ACT, 5051 E. Elliot Road, for family and friends to see what they've learned.

Center Dance Ensemble presents ‘There is a Time to Dance'

Center Dance Ensemble opens its season with "There is Time to Dance," Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 13-16, featuring Frances Smith Cohen's "The Attic," a powerful and poignant story based on "The Diary of Anne Frank." In addition, there will be guest performances by several different dance companies. The ensemble will take place at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe St. in Phoenix, at 7:30 each evening with a matinee show Oct. 16 at 2 p.m.
