Each year, ASU Gammage gives theatergoers a taste of what it has in store for the coming arts season. The evening is called the 2011-2012 Broadway Season Preview, and you can think of it like going to a tapas bar rather than ordering a single entree. Only you get to sample all the delicious morsels for free.

Inside the theater, guests will see previews and special behind-the-scenes looks at upcoming Broadway shows, including “Green Day’s American Idiot” (April 24-29, 2012), “Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles” (May 10-12, 2012), “Wicked” (Feb. 15 to March 11, 2012) and “West Side Story” (Sept. 27 to Oct. 2).

Also in the lineup are “Blue Man Group” (Nov. 1-6), “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas The Musical” (Dec. 6-11), “Stomp” (Dec. 28-31), “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific” (Jan. 10-15, 2012), “La Cage Aux Folles” (May 15-20, 2012) and “Million Dollar Quartet” (June 5-10, 2012).

There will also be “surprise” live performances from the upcoming productions that are being kept under wraps.

In the lobby, you’ll find family activities before the show starts, prize drawings and, of course, opportunities to buy tickets and subscription packages.

Complimentary dessert from Z’ Tejas brings the night at the theater to a sweet close.
