Founded in the spring of 2007, AZ YELP (Youth Exemplifying Leadership Principles) was designed to address the critical social and emotional needs of youth. Leadership is defined as one's ability to positively influence others. The lessons are based on tools and strategies that are proven to result in effective change.

Since AZ YELP's inception, Mike Sissel (owner and lead facilitator) has delivered leadership trainings to well over a thousand Valley youth. A former classroom teacher in the Kyrene School District, Sissel is passionate about helping young leaders reach their full potential.

The workshop will take place June 6 - 30, Monday through Thursday at Summit School of Ahwatukee, 4515 E. Muirwood Drive.

There will be three sessions offered, which are session 1 (9-10 years old) 9 to 10:30 a.m.; session 2 (11-12 years old) 11 to 12:30 p.m.; session 3 (13-15 years old) 1:30 to 3 p.m. Cost is $195.

To register your child for this workshop, call Sissel at (480) 229-8767 or email mikesissel@azyelp.com.
