Coach of the Year: Karen Self (Seton Catholic): Props to J’ontar Coleman (Desert Vista), Candice Gonzales (Mesquite), Jeff Kain (Hamilton), Tyler Dumas (Dobson), Scott Timmer (Valley Christian) and Daryl Young (Gilbert Christian), but Self took a team with three freshman who played major minutes, plus the distration of assistant coach Tiffany Tate’s need for a second double-lung transplant to win a Div. II state championship.
