The Horizon Honors boys basketball team placed two players on the All-Metro II Region first team.
Junior Taylor Hudzinski and senior John Tamburino were picked by the league coaches to the All-Metro team as was Valley Christian senior and Ahwatukee Foothills resident Jeff Reinhart.
Hudzinski averaged 11.4 points and Tamburino averaged 10.5 and 7.5 rebounds. Reinhart averaged 14.1 points, 3.1 assists and 2.5 steals.
Making the honorable team for Horizon Honors was Alex Eddy.
Phoenix Country Day's AJ Hess was player of the year and his PCD's Shane Lewis was the coach of the year.
Also on the first team were Valley Christian's Manny Guarino, Austin Phillipe and Jimmy Radzik; Scottsdale Christian Academy's Tuff Barnes, Jake Cipoletti, Judah St. Amand; Yuma Catholic's Bradley Crye, PCD's Nate Nearhood; Phoenix North Pointe's Brandon McKinney and Colin Weaver and Tempe Prep's Pau Tonneson.
