Jennifer Wu and Huangang Zheng, seniors at Tempe Union High School District’s Desert Vista High School, were named the Arizona state winners of the 2011 Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement, a program of the Siemens Foundation administered by the College Board. The awards recognize the top male and female achiever in each state in advanced placement science and mathematics courses. Winners receive a $2,000 scholarship for college.
