The smell of roasted chicken, baked beans and homemade raisin bread will again fill the air near the Superstitions.

Apache Junction’s Mining Camp Restaurant will re-open for the season on Oct. 11. The 53-year-old venue, themed to resemble a rough-hewn mining camp cook shanty at the base of the area’s most famous mountains, offers a family style dinner and musical show for one ticket price. Non-show dining is available in the adjacent and more upscale Dutchman’s Hide Out Mesquite Steakhouse.

The eateries are at 6100 E. Mining Camp St. For information, call (480) 982-3181 or visit MiningCampRestaurant.com.
