Over the past eight years, the Ahwatukee Kiwanis Club has collected nearly 14,000 books. The annual drive is designed to collect children’s books. However, many books collected are more appropriate for older readers. These books are given to Andre House, St. Vincent de Paul and senior centers.

Children’s books collected are given to Guadalupe Head Start Programs, St. Peters Mission School on the Gila River Indian Community, Boys and Girls Club and this year for the first time, The Ryan House.

The Kiwanis Club is thankful for the cooperation of the 15 agencies that served as book collection centers.
