The Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2005, “Monty Python’s Spamalot,” brings Brit wit to Mesa this week. Lovingly “ripped-off” from the internationally famous comedy team’s most popular motion picture, “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” “Spamalot” tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table with a chorus line of dancing divas, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits and a legless knight. The musical is the winner of three 2005 Tony Awards and the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for Best Musical.
>> “Monty Python’s Spamalot” plays Tuesday and Wednesday at Mesa Arts Center, 1 E. Main St. Tickets start at $32. (480) 644-6500 or mesaartscenter.com.
