Need rolls, pies, brownies and bars to round out your Thanksgiving table? This local source for scratch-baked goods lets you eat well and give back.

What: Student bakers at the East Valley Institute of Technology, Mesa’s career and technical school for high schoolers and adults, whip up a slew of baked goods and sell them to the public in time for Turkey Day.

When: Last call for orders is 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Where: Orders will be ready for pick-up from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, and Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the EVIT Culinary Arts Building (Building 2), 1601 W. Main St., Mesa.

Cost: $1.25 per dozen for white/wheat dinner rolls; $6 each for apple, apple cranberry, and pumpkin pies; $5 for dark chocolate iced brownie bars and pumpkin pie walnut bars; $4 per loaf for pumpkin, cranberry orange, banana walnut, spiced apple and dark chocolate loaf breads. Profits help fund scholarships to the Culinary Arts and Commercial Baking programs at EVIT.
