Mesa-based United Food Bank will deliver truckloads of food to people impacted by the Wallow fire in eastern Arizona.

“Right now, we estimate bringing at least 100,000 pounds of food up by Monday, but we know that many more truckloads will be needed as this plays out,” said Bob Evans, United Food Bank President and CEO.

United Food Bank serves hundreds of agencies in Arizona and their service area includes the communities affected by the Wallow fire.

The organization is seeking donations to purchase additional food needed for the disaster. The group typically provides more than 1.5 million pounds of food every month across its service area.

Donations can be made online at www.unitedfoodbank.org
