Jack Black is a hoot in the title role of a 30-something mortician who befriends Marjorie Nugent, the most despised elderly millionairess in Carthege, Texas.
Based on a true story, the widows of this community, smitten by Bernie Tiede, rally to his defense after he murders Marjorie Nugent, played by the superb Shirley MacLaine. Matthew McConaughty as the DA, adds demension to this black comedy.
