The Arizona Restaurant Association — the same group behind fall’s popular Arizona Restaurant Week — has a new deal for diners looking to save a buck.

Join the association’s Great Arizona Summer Dine-Out, and you’ll save at more than 20 Valley restaurants when you order off members-only prix-fixe dinner menus. You’ll also earn up to $100 in restaurant gift cards just for eating out.

The Dhaba in Tempe, the Landmark Restaurant in Mesa and BLD in Chandler are among the East Valley restaurants participating in the deal. So are The Melting Pot in Ahwatukee and Monti’s La Casa Vieja in Tempe.

The details: Sign up for $20 at www.GreatAZSummerDineOut.com and you’ll get a special envelope in the mail, which you’ll stuff full of receipts from dinners eaten Tuesdays through Thursdays, through Sept. 1, at participating restaurants. Send the envelope back, and the association will send you a $25 restaurant gift card for every four receipts you submit.

If spending $20 to save money doesn’t make good sense in your book, there’s another deal going on: “Yelp Eats!” week.

Through Sunday, select Valley restaurants have partnered with the online review site to offer three appetizers, three entrees and three desserts or drinks for 50 percent off the regular menu price.

East Valley eateries in on the deal include BLD, Caffé Boa (Tempe), Jimmy’s of Chicago (Gilbert) and The Dhaba. See the full list of restaurants and their half-off menus at www.yelp.com/events/scottsdale-yelp-eats-2011
