With women involved in businesses across the Phoenix area, this month’s West Valley Women’s meeting gave members the chance to highlight their work and appreciate the specialties and professions of other attendees.

The West Valley Women met Tuesday at SKYE Restaurant in Peoria to honor its members, spotlighting the variety of businesses in which the women are involved.

Linda Cavanaugh, the organization’s director, thanked the women in attendance over a meal served up by the SKYE kitchen after members mingled and networked while perusing each others’ business information.

“Let’s help each other, let’s support each other,” Cavanaugh told the group, adding while the organization itself is philanthropic, all the members have businesses to take care of as well.

Next month’s meeting will honor the group’s Woman of the Year, Pat Horton, founder of All About Marketing. Cavanaugh told the attendees Horton has collected more than 5,000 pairs of socks for military troops and is still taking donations.
