Class involves lecture, small-group activities, and individual pre-disaster planning. Topics include bail-out kits, off-grid medical issues, water purification, food storage, evacuation strategies, reuniting with family members, home preparation and more. The class will be at the Hilton Garden Inn, Phoenix, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 8.
