• Abbey Road — A Tribute to the Beatles performs July 9. Their custom-tailored costumes, vintage instruments, Liverpudlian dialect and precise attention to every detail recreate the magic, music and wit of the Beatles phenomenon. The four band members capture the personality, physicality and charm of the Beatle they portray, including their familiar head bobs, toe taps and patter between songs. The show includes three costume changes from early- to late-era Beatles. The band has honed its show to become one of the most musically and visually satisfying Beatle tribute acts in the world. The website is www.inmylifetheplay.com. In addition to performing concert shows, the Abbey Road band members portray the “Fab Four” in the smash hit musical theatre biography of the Beatles — “In My Life — A Musical Theatre Tribute to the Beatles.” This nationally touring stage production tells the behind-the-scenes story of the Beatles, as seen through the eyes of their manager Brian Epstein.
• Don’t Stop Believin’ — the Premier Tribute to Journey plays July 23. The band is said to be “the next best thing to Journey” and has captured the lush, signature sound of renowned frontman Steve Perry and Journey in their prime. The band members star in a hit television show called “The Spelling Bee.” Their website is www.dontstopbelievintribute.com.
• From “Fortunate Son,” “Proud Mary” and “Born on the Bayou” to “Bad Moon Rising,” “Lodi” and “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” Creedence Relived is a highly faithful tribute to one of America’s greatest rock bands, Creedence Clearwater Revival. The Creedence Relived show is an accurate recreation of a CCR concert of the 1960s and plays July 30. The band’s website is www.creedenceclearwaterrevival.net.
• Surfin’ Safari — the Ultimate Tribute to the Beach Boys recreates a Beach Boys concert of the 1960s. The band celebrates the golden anniversary of the “Endless Summer” during its Aug. 13 show in Surprise. The band’s website is www.surfinsafariband.com.
