You can do more than taste wines at Saturday’s Arizona Wine Awards — you can vote on them. Nine Grand Canyon State wineries will pour whites and reds for you to sip and judge at the event, which is a three-year tradition at Whole Foods Market in Chandler.

Participating are Alcantara Vineyards, Kief-Joshua Vineyards, Oak Creek Vineyards & Winery, Pillsbury Wine Company, Keeling Schaefer Vineyards, Kokopelli Winery, Javelina Leap Vineyards & Winery, Charron Vineyards and Arizona Stronghold.

You’ll be able to meet the winemakers and sample food from Arizona food purveyors. The event draws about 100 people, according to store spokeswoman Lisa Wilson.

Buy-one-get-one-half-off tickets are available for advance purchase through Thursday at the store’s specialty department. You may also buy tickets at the door.
