When the Arizona State football season starts on Thursday, be on the lookout for former Mountain Pointe star Izzy Marshall.

Sun Devil coach Dennis Erickson cited Marshall as one of the true freshmen who might have an impact this season earlier in camp. Marshall, who is listed at 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, is a linebacker and could see time on special teams.

Marshall will wear No. 38 when Arizona State hosts UC Davis at Sun Devil Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m.

Desert Vista's Mike Ingrassia, who is a freshman walk-on, is No. 36.
