Mesa Police officers apprehended a carjacker who took a local resident’s vehicle from him at gunpoint at the Auto Zone at Williams Street and Main Street on Wednesday evening.

The suspect, 31-year-old Aaron Miller, was arrested for allegedly carjacking a 46-year-old man after taking the victim’s wallet, cell phone and car keys at gunpoint. Police searched the area for the stolen vehicle and discovered it within approximately 10 minutes, which led to Miller’s arrest at a Fry’s Marketplace.

Aaron Miller, who was on probation at the time, was arrested and booked on three separate felonies connected to the incident.
