Thanks to the Summer Splash Tour, there’s at least one hot day this summer you don’t have to think about how to entertain the kids.

The free family event, presented by local purified water company White Water, brings swimming pools, water slides and dunk tanks to three East Valley cities beginning June 1. Youngsters will also find water balloon battles, bounce houses and carnival games, and the Radio Disney Rockin’ Road Show will entertain with music, interactive games and prizes.

An area open only to toddlers and preschoolers will provide a gentler space for the littlest splashers.

When it’s time for a break, grab some shade and a snack from a vendor; they’ll be selling shaved ice, frozen lemonade, cotton candy, nachos, hot dogs and ice cream.

Tour stops are also a slick way to drop some knowledge on unsuspecting little minds; swim lessons are available on the spot from Aqua-Tots Swim Schools, and SRP will supply water safety information.

DETAILS >> 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 1 at Founders Park, 22407 S. Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek; June 8 at Gilbert Civic Center Park, 50 E. Civic Center Drive; and June 22 at Dr. AJ Chandler Park, 3 S. San Marcos Place, Chandler. There are also stops in Glendale and Peoria. Free, but bring money for food and drink. For information, call (602) 276-2499 or SummerSplashAZ.com.
